About Me

I’m a creative with over fourteen years of professional experience in graphic design, art direction and in multiple production roles. Specifically, most of my career has been working in catalog, multi-channel retail and various freelance jobs. I enjoy all of the different challenges in the multitude of projects that I’ve encountered and look forward to new mediums, ideas, projects and marketing solutions.

What I ultimately do in my profession is problem solve. Whether it’s creating an easy to shop experience, coming up with efficient workflow solutions, elevating a brand, creating a lifestyle or showcasing a product through imagery, I make visions and strategies come to life.

Before my professional career, I completed Virginia Commonwealth University’s Creative Advertising tract in the School of Mass Communications for a bachelor of sciences degree. Before that, I received a Career & Technical Education 4-Year Certificate for Graphic Imaging from Fauquier County Public Schools in Virginia.

Branding & logos

Web & Social Design

OldRagCandles.com

After working on the branding for Old Rag Mountain Candle-Works, I designed and implemented their online store and website. I directed and shot the photography for the banners and product pages for the website. I set up the functionality for the store, then made the site very easy for the owner to manage and make minor adjustments themselves.

OriginMovements.com

This was a website that was already in place and after I designed the logo, I gave the website some visual help. I went along for some training clinics that Josh from Origin had and took a few shots that gave a sense of his style of personal training.

Miscellanous Design

Desde El Alma: Book Cover

Alonso needed a book cover and title page for his autobiography and I was honored to be able to take part in his publishing. He provided a few very old and grainy black and white photos and some information about the Peruvian mountains, along with a couple ideas of what he was looking for. I sent a few rounds and we landed on this classic photo of Alonso trekking up the Misti crater in just a red hoodie and cap.

Studio-B: Blow-out Bar Style Canvases

The owner of this Blow-out bar wanted display the different styles with canvases on the wall along with her menu.

Plow & Hearth S’mores Maker

This is a product that Plow & Hearth made an effort to develop their own packaging for. I designed an on brand but fun logo for the item and used catalog and stock photography to create the packaging.

Retail Sign Redesign 2012

I redesigned the outdated signage to match the styling that was being used online and in catalog at the time.
